Cosmos Soccer Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carl Åberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. Brian Mendoza charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brian Mendoza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of LOS BUITRES booed when Cosmos Soccer Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brian Mendoza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lv Zhou in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jarrett Rosenberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Xavier Salazar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Jarrett Rosenberg made a huge save. 34 minutes into the match, Lv Zhou dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jarrett Rosenberg, 2-0. Lv Zhou scored 3-0 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jarrett Rosenberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lv Zhou in the 41st minute of play forced Cosmos Soccer Club's goalkeeper Jarrett Rosenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarrett Rosenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lv Zhou in the 93rd minute of the match. If Lv Zhou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marcus Rush hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Lv Zhou's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jarrett Rosenberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. LOS BUITRES's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
