New England Minas were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after ForestFire's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Glen Conklin took the corner. ForestFire's Shaki Conn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tio Lio in the 17th minute of play. If Edgardo Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Shaki Conn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Silva in the 18th minute of the match.
