When Gerardo Beard came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Brooklyn SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerardo Beard couldn't finish the play. 32 minutes into the match, Jonah Ryan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jospeh McNally, 1-0. In the 37th minute Anoush Khalatbari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jospeh McNally saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the American Airlines defense, Dwight Schrute kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arvin Hökkvist. The American Airlines fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arvin Hökkvist should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonah Ryan in the 43rd minute of play forced Brooklyn SC's goalkeeper Jospeh McNally to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute Anoush Khalatbari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jospeh McNally saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gerardo Beard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arvin Hökkvist was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. After 62 minutes American Airlines's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jonas Cole who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Brooklyn SC's corner Jonas Cole fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arvin Hökkvist quite easily take care of the ball. Anoush Khalatbari struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Jospeh McNally didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for American Airlines.
