In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Santos FC's goalkeeper Aaron Smallwood, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Egil Östlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tyron Velasquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Aaron Smallwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ward Doran in the 18th minute of the match. Golden Hills's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Santo Sparks in the 20th minute. After taking down the ball on Golden Hills's corner Santo Sparks fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aaron Smallwood quite easily take care of the ball. Egil Östlund was a little too slow when Terence Nicholas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 28thth minute of the game Ward Doran who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santos FC's Aaron Smallwood was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Santos FC's Lanny Gilmore in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lanny Gilmore was the one to do the kick off. After 56 played minutes Golden Hills got a freekick which was hit by Roman Farris. The audience held their breath when Warren Ruiz in the 58th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Egil Östlund's left hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ward Doran in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aaron Smallwood saved Santos FC from getting behind. In the 67th minute, Titus Kohler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lanny Gilmore in the 72nd minute of play forced Golden Hills's goalkeeper Egil Östlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santos FC's Aaron Smallwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ward Doran in the 75th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Lanny Gilmore put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Egil Östlund. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Santos FC had won after a very even match.
