Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lanny Gilmore to make the kick off. In the 72nd minute, one of AC DeMiRHaN:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AC DeMiRHaN. Lanny Gilmore shot the penalty kick right outside the post. If Lanny Gilmore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyron Velasquez in the 81st minute of play forced AC DeMiRHaN's goalkeeper Anson Anthony to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anson Anthony didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tyron Velasquez went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Whitney Flanagan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Aaron Smallwood made a huge save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Santos FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while AC DeMiRHaN had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
