When Henrique Onofre came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the AD Pontassolense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henrique Onofre couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Januário Domingos in the 5th minute of play forced SC Freiburg 09's goalkeeper Ivo Guterres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivo Guterres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Onofre in the 8th minute of play. AD Pontassolense's Kevin Quintanilha got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to SC Freiburg 09 getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Caio Sampaio hit a great ball. Januário Domingos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivo Guterres having to interfere. In the 28th minute Rogério Bettencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Guterres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 minutes SC Freiburg 09's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Januário Domingos who took care of the corner kick. The corner led AD Pontassolense's Januário Domingos to fire away a dangerous shot which Ivo Guterres despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Iwo Pawelczyk sped through SC Freiburg 09's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ivo Guterres. Ivo Guterres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giuseppe Catarinense, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 44th minute Nuno Bragança shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Bessa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Freiburg 09's Ivo Guterres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Quintanilha in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

But to his dismay, Abílio Passos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Januário Domingos came free with the goalkeeper in the 57th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ivo Guterres could save by the left post. 59 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 09's goal looked a bit too open when Giuseppe Catarinense came free, but Ivo Guterres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Bessa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Bragança in the 64th minute of play. Ivo Guterres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Quintanilha in the 65th minute of play. Marco Bessa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Bragança, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 70 minutes, Raul Leal made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. AD Pontassolense's Marco Bessa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. SC Freiburg 09's Ivo Guterres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save SC Freiburg 09 from getting a goal against them. 81 minutes into the match, AD Pontassolense's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Leal came free, but Marco Bessa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Abílio Passos notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of AD Pontassolense's Marco Bessa. Marco Bessa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Januário Domingos got free with Ivo Guterres in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute Giuseppe Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Guterres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute Raul Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Bessa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raul Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Marco Bessa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Freiburg 09's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
