An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Quintanilha in the 15th minute of play forced Dragonf⮊rcE's goalkeeper Comunardo Guerrini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AD Pontassolense's Marco Bessa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barry Houghton in the 17th minute of play. Marco Bessa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barry Houghton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Januário Domingos could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Comunardo Guerrini however easily saved by the left post. 35 minutes into the game, Dragonf⮊rcE's Barry Houghton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marco Bessa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After 40 minutes AD Pontassolense's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bruno Fernandes who took care of the corner kick. A very nice done corner allowed Vítor Veiga to score against Marco Bessa in AD Pontassolense's goal. 0-4 after 40 minutes. Isidoro Palma kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. A hard shot by Januário Domingos from long distance, 44 minutes into the match, got Comunardo Guerrini's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Jerónimo Pais kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Januário Domingos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Comunardo Guerrini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giuseppe Catarinense in the 73rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Barry Houghton kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marco Bessa. That made the score 0-6 in the 75 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karin Benzema in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Bessa saved AD Pontassolense from getting behind. AD Pontassolense's Marco Bessa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karin Benzema in the 87th minute of play. Karin Benzema's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Bessa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. After having played for 90 minutes, Herman Dresselbjerg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dragonf⮊rcE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herman Dresselbjerg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dragonf⮊rcE played a much better game than AD Pontassolense and deserved their victory. The AD Pontassolense players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
