Comunardo Guerrini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delfim Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Tamás Albert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barry Houghton in the 7th minute. Tamás Albert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Coelho in the 9th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barry Houghton in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tamás Albert saved Lidador F.C. from getting behind. In the 17th minute of the match Dragonf⮊rcE got a corner. Lidador F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bruno Fernandes ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dragonf⮊rcE's Bruno Fernandes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tamás Albert in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 25th minute Barry Houghton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tamás Albert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 30 minutes, Delfim Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lidador F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Delfim Oliveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Comunardo Guerrini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. If Danilo Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerónimo Pais's late challenge caught a Lidador F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jerónimo Pais helped the player get up and apologised. After 45 played minutes Dragonf⮊rcE got a freekick which was hit by Jerónimo Pais. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Barry Houghton to strike the kick off in the second half. When Dragonf⮊rcE's Barry Houghton in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Dragonf⮊rcE's Comunardo Guerrini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Dragonf⮊rcE from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Lidador F.C. booed when Dragonf⮊rcE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herman Dresselbjerg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lidador F.C.'s Danial Boon was substituted for Danilo Pinho. Dragonf⮊rcE made a substitution. Ludo Tobbackers replaced Pedro Pauleta. The supporters of Lidador F.C. booed when Dragonf⮊rcE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herman Dresselbjerg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 95th play minutes Danial Boon shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Comunardo Guerrini and just under the crossbar into goal.
