Marco Bessa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. AD Pontassolense's Marco Bessa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herman Dresselbjerg in the 22nd minute of play. Barry Houghton who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Marco Bessa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Comunardo Guerrini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Quintanilha, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Dragonf⮊rcE's Comunardo Guerrini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giuseppe Catarinense in the 35th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Marco Bessa came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Dragonf⮊rcE's Barry Houghton. But to his dismay, Barry Houghton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. The supporters of Dragonf⮊rcE booed when AD Pontassolense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Fraga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 58 minutes of play, Dragonf⮊rcE's Barry Houghton made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marco Bessa was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Barry Houghton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Bessa was relentless in the 61st minute of the game.
