In the 4th minute of the match Delta FS got a corner. AM United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hélder Cavaco ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Odin in the 5th minute of play forced AM United's goalkeeper David Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Bastos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Odin, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Angelo Pessoa could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Gualter Roriz however easily saved by the left post. In the 35th minute Álvaro Vilaverde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gualter Roriz had in the 39thth minute some difficulties stopping Angelo Pessoa's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Teodoro Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot. AM United's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodoro Freire was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gualter Roriz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andaka Mula to make the kick off. Gervásio Cordeiro hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Gualter Roriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Freire in the 53rd minute of play. David Bastos made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Andaka Mula sent off a good shot on target. 61 minutes into the match, Delta FS's Andaka Mula sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Bastos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Teodoro Freire got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind AM United's goalkeeper David Bastos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Delta FS's Hélder Cavaco was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but David Bastos in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. David Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andaka Mula in the 84th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, David Bastos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. AM United succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Delta FS had controlled the match.
