The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Gregório Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eliseu Bragança made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregório Neiva in the 5th minute of play. Eriberto Bonadona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Álvaro Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. When Gregório Neiva came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Mira United FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gregório Neiva couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes into the match, Campus Douro Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Gregório Neiva came free, but Eliseu Bragança reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute of the match Mira United FC got a corner. Campus Douro Academy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Desiderio Henric ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Gregório Neiva managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. A sloppy throw-in by Victor Sousa in the 26th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Mira United FC's Vicente Mafra. Mira United FC's attentive Vicente Mafra managed to snatch the ball when Fabrice Dewitte made a throw-in in the 29th minute of the game. Gregório Neiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 30th minute Gregório Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseu Bragança saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute Rodolfo Montay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Bonadona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gregório Neiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41st minute Álvaro Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Bonadona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vedat Burçhan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Eriberto Bonadona made a huge save. In the 45th match minute, Campus Douro Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Miguéis to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute of the match Desiderio Henric shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eliseu Bragança showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gregório Neiva was the one to do the kick off. Gregório Neiva struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Eliseu Bragança didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mira United FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Álvaro Machado in the 62nd minute of play forced Mira United FC's goalkeeper Eriberto Bonadona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Campus Douro Academy getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Fabrice Dewitte hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Emílio Teixeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eriberto Bonadona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Montay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mira United FC's Eriberto Bonadona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Montay in the 71st minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Mira United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Montay came free, but Eriberto Bonadona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Álvaro Machado hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Desiderio Henric struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Eliseu Bragança didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mira United FC. Mira United FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Campus Douro Academy's much stronger midfield.
