Igor Zambujal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cai Yuan Yuan in the 12th minute of the match. After 20 minutes of play, MZ Fénix's Cai Yuan Yuan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Igor Zambujal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Igor Zambujal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cai Yuan Yuan went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cai Yuan Yuan in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Igor Zambujal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th minute MZ Fénix were awarded a corner. Aras Görkem Kaymaz went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Aras Görkem Kaymaz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AJAX's Igor Zambujal did a great save. In the 38th minute of the match MZ Fénix got a corner. AJAX's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aras Görkem Kaymaz ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of AJAX's goalie and right to Basilio Ovando. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. AJAX's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After a rather tough play, MZ Fénix's Tomasz Waldoch got a free kick in the 40th minute. The throw-in from Cosme Cordarryl in the 42nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by MZ Fénix's Tomasz Waldoch. Cai Yuan Yuan might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Igor Zambujal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cai Yuan Yuan ran back to his position shaking his head. Igor Zambujal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cai Yuan Yuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the AJAX defense, Cai Yuan Yuan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Igor Zambujal. The AJAX fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Igor Zambujal should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cai Yuan Yuan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cai Yuan Yuan in the 54th minute of play forced AJAX's goalkeeper Igor Zambujal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AJAX's Igor Zambujal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cai Yuan Yuan in the 58th minute of play. MZ Fénix were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after AJAX's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aras Görkem Kaymaz took the corner. 66 minutes into the match, AJAX's goal looked a bit too open when Cai Yuan Yuan came free, but Igor Zambujal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 69 minutes, Cai Yuan Yuan made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. AJAX's Igor Zambujal tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Igor Zambujal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind AJAX's goalkeeper Igor Zambujal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Igor Zambujal was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cai Yuan Yuan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-9 in the 86 minute of play.
