The audience thought a goal was coming when Cassiano Brochado got free with Monte Lobato in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tasso FC's Monte Lobato proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Tasso FC from getting a goal against them. Monte Lobato made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Israel Póvoas sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Israel Póvoas managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.D.ESMOJÃES's supporters rose to their feet, but Israel Póvoas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Monte Lobato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Monte Lobato made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Cassiano Brochado sent off a good shot on target. Tasso FC's Monte Lobato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Bulhosa in the 33rd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Eduardo Bulhosa notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Tasso FC's Monte Lobato. Monte Lobato was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 36 minutes into the match, Tasso FC's goalkeeper Monte Lobato had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mateus Baldaia. A.D.ESMOJÃES's Jonas Garcia managed to work through Tasso FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Jonas Garcia dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The A.D.ESMOJÃES fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when A.D.ESMOJÃES's Cassiano Brochado looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benedicto Quin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Tasso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cassiano Brochado came free, but Monte Lobato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severiano Torcato's late challenge caught a A.D.ESMOJÃES's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severiano Torcato helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of A.D.ESMOJÃES booed when Tasso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severiano Torcato didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tasso FC's Monte Lobato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassiano Brochado in the 65th minute of play. Benedicto Quin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laureano Rijo having to interfere. A collision led to A.D.ESMOJÃES getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Jonas Garcia hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the match, Tasso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mateus Baldaia came free, but Monte Lobato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benedicto Quin struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Laureano Rijo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tasso FC. Monte Lobato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassiano Brochado in the 73rd minute of play.
