When Chu Tasso came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Tasso FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chu Tasso couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chu Tasso in the 5th minute of play forced Benficajuvestars's goalkeeper Rui Patrício to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Benficajuvestars's zone, Chu Tasso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Patrício came out of the goal and Chu Tasso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th minute Salvador Vilas Boas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Monte Lobato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rui Patrício showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chu Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Ziemowit Moczkiewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Monte Lobato having to interfere. Tasso FC's Chu Tasso got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, Tasso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Salvador Vilas Boas came free, but Monte Lobato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Benficajuvestars's goalkeeper Rui Patrício, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, Chu Tasso notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Benficajuvestars's Rui Patrício. Rui Patrício was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Monte Lobato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ziemowit Moczkiewicz in the 46th minute of play.

A collision led to Tasso FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Anton Ekblom hit a great ball. After 52 played minutes, Benficajuvestars's Ziemowit Moczkiewicz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Monte Lobato came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Benficajuvestars reached it. Isaio Cobarrubias's late challenge caught a Benficajuvestars's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isaio Cobarrubias helped the player get up and apologised. After 54 played minutes Tasso FC got a freekick which was hit by Isaio Cobarrubias. Rui Patrício came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Tasso FC's Chu Tasso. But to his dismay, Chu Tasso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Machado Assis fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tasso FC's protests and gave Machado Assis a yellow card for diving instead. Machado Assis hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Monte Lobato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Vilas Boas in the 59th minute of play. Severiano Torcato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Patrício having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, Rubim Ramires was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Benficajuvestars's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tasso FC the free kick. In the 65th match minute, Benficajuvestars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubim Ramires to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute, Chu Tasso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tasso FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 70th minute Chu Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Patrício saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santos Benet came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rui Patrício could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Richard Dawkins got free with Rui Patrício in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 94 in the game by Richard Dawkins from a close distance when the talented Rui Patrício managed to make a qualified save. Benficajuvestars's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Richard Dawkins got free with Rui Patrício in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Benficajuvestars lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
