After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Álvaro Rezende managed to get in a good position for a shot. VB-Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Álvaro Rezende was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sandro Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sandro Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Caeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute Joaquim de Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandro Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eustaquio Gil kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes, VB-Team's Álvaro Rezende shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sandro Santos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in VB-Team reached it. Joaquim de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Sandro Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Magne Odeen kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Sandro Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Caeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The supporters of VB-Team booed when FC Alumiara SD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armin Imperiale didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute of the match Álvaro Rezende shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sandro Santos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 30th minute, FC Alumiara SD's Israel Patrício dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Sandro Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim de Barros in the 33rd minute of the match. Wanderson Siqueira's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Armindo Salgado firmly grabbed it by the left post. 37 minutes into the match, Gervásio Severiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sandro Santos. FC Alumiara SD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gervásio Severiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alisson De Gasperi in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sandro Santos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half VB-Team were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Israel Patrício to strike the kick off in the second half. Luís Caeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Santos having to interfere. Armin Imperiale hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, VB-Team's Mattias Jonasson got a free kick in the 58th minute. Luís Caeiro struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Sandro Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VB-Team. VB-Team made a substitution. Sandro Leitão replaced Qiu Sheng Bang. VB-Team's Traian Hăvârneanu was substituted for Luís Caeiro. VB-Team's Joaquim de Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Alumiara SD's Sandro Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervásio Severiano in the 78th minute of play. Traian Hăvârneanu scored 1-6 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sandro Santos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84th minute, Traian Hăvârneanu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 85th minute Traian Hăvârneanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandro Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albérico Candal during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 87th minute, Albérico Candal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute of the match Traian Hăvârneanu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sandro Santos skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as VB-Team's Traian Hăvârneanu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sandro Santos. That made the score 1-7 after 89 minutes of play. Gencay Şerif might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armindo Salgado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gencay Şerif ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match was over VB-Team could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Alumiara SD throughout the match.
