The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lourenço Vilanova fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Máximo Laureano having to interfere. Máximo Laureano made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Şükrü Yazargil sent off a good shot on target. Anselmo Gama didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gentil Setúbal went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in MACAU. F.C's zone, Gentil Setúbal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anselmo Gama came out of the goal and Gentil Setúbal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, MACAU. F.C's Remigio Fix got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Anselmo Gama made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gentil Setúbal in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Gentil Setúbal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Anselmo Gama was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gentil Setúbal might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anselmo Gama. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gentil Setúbal ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 34th minute, Remigio Fix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute, Gentil Setúbal made a precise shot to the right of Anselmo Gama. MACAU. F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 39th minute, Gunnar Löfgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anselmo Gama showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gentil Setúbal in the 46th minute of the match. Jhonny Smart's late challenge caught a Terceirense F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jhonny Smart helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th match minute, MACAU. F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jhonny Smart to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gentil Setúbal was the one to do the kick off. If Gentil Setúbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gentil Setúbal got free with Anselmo Gama in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. MACAU. Terceirense F.C.'s Máximo Laureano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şükrü Yazargil in the 78th minute of play. In the 79thth minute of the game Xavi Xavier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MACAU. F.C's Anselmo Gama was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of MACAU. F.C booed when Terceirense F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermano Campelo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Terceirense F.C.'s Gaspar Gouveia was substituted for Fabien Raillard. Chants of Terceirense F.C. echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as MACAU. F.C had held the ball for most of the match.
