Anselmo Gama made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Anselmo Gama showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zigmantas Gimbutas, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Sobral in the 32nd minute of play forced SC Braga's goalkeeper Laçın Cumayev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zigmantas Gimbutas kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Zigmantas Gimbutas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MACAU. SC Braga were furious when Jon-Egil Sætre was red carded, 82 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Braga. 85 minutes into the game, Antonio Cieri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Braga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MACAU. F.C the free kick. Antonio Cieri hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute of the match, Geraldo Lucas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Anselmo Gama was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Şükrü Yazargil in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laçın Cumayev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Braga had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
