If Matthews Haskell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Exército Português's Laurențiu Gaciu got control of the ball when Matthews Haskell tried to sneak it across the goal line. Januário Rangel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Meireles in the 16th minute of the match. After 16 played minutes MEXACOMX got a freekick which was hit by Berker Güneş. 18 minutes into the match, MEXACOMX's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Meireles came free, but Januário Rangel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 23 minutes MEXACOMX's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gustavo Carrasqueira who took care of the corner kick. A very nice done corner allowed Abel Carvalhais to score against Januário Rangel in MEXACOMX's goal. 0-1 after 23 minutes. Gustavo Carrasqueira scored 0-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Januário Rangel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Laurențiu Gaciu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wu Liang Mo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 minutes Exército Português's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joaquin Sedillo who took care of the corner kick. When Exército Português's Bruno Soveral in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MEXACOMX's goalie prevented a goal. Januário Rangel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Carrasqueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Januário Rangel came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Exército Português's Gustavo Carrasqueira. But to his dismay, Gustavo Carrasqueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bruno Soveral to strike the kick off in the second half. Bruno Soveral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Januário Rangel made a huge save. In the 57th minute of the match, Bruno Soveral got a very nice opportunity to score, but Januário Rangel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Laurențiu Gaciu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berker Güneş, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute Gustavo Carrasqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Januário Rangel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Januário Rangel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Carrasqueira in the 66th minute of play. MEXACOMX's Januário Rangel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save MEXACOMX from getting a goal against them. Bruno Soveral who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Januário Rangel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the MEXACOMX defense, Gustavo Carrasqueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Januário Rangel. The MEXACOMX fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Januário Rangel should have stopped the shot. Exército Português made a substitution. Feliks Maurycy replaced Aybar Hasret. Januário Rangel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Carrasqueira in the 77th minute of play. Berker Güneş kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Januário Rangel made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Bruno Soveral sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, MEXACOMX's Januário Rangel got control of the ball when Bruno Soveral tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Armando Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Exército Português's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Meireles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Januário Rangel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Exército Português players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
