In the 28th minute Morris Zemp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sálvio Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Morris Zemp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sálvio Ramalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aprígio Henriques in the 36th minute of play. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Sálvio Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aprígio Henriques in the 38th minute of play. Peter Sparks made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Inácio Secco sent off a good shot on target. 39 minutes into the match, Inácio Secco dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Peter Sparks, 2-0. 42 minutes into the game, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's José Bomba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Peter Sparks made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. When Inácio Secco came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the F.C. Paços de Ferreira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inácio Secco couldn't finish the play. Miradeses FC's Peter Sparks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Bomba in the 47th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as F.C. Paços de Ferreira's José Bomba slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Peter Sparks. That made the score 4-0 after 47 minutes of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teo De Jong stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's José Bomba sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter Sparks narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner led F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Igor Tudor to fire away a dangerous shot which Peter Sparks despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 57th minute, Inácio Secco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 59 minutes, Cássio Simões mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Miradeses FC and the F.C. Paços de Ferreira players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Miradeses FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Cássio Simões hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Bomba in the 63rd minute of play forced Miradeses FC's goalkeeper Peter Sparks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Aprígio Henriques ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sálvio Ramalho was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aprígio Henriques in the 69th minute of play forced F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goalkeeper Sálvio Ramalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sálvio Ramalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aprígio Henriques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th match minute, F.C. Paços de Ferreira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Bomba to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, Burak Rede left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Miradeses FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2.
