Filomeno Santana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hermenegildo Rebelo's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. 10 minutes into the match, AD FAFE's goal looked a bit too open when Horaţiu Bacalbașa came free, but Filomeno Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th match minute, AD FAFE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardino Fraco to maneuver through the defense. In the 13thth minute of the game Horaţiu Bacalbașa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AD FAFE's Filomeno Santana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. AD FAFE's Filomeno Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermenegildo Rebelo in the 16th minute of play. Artur Brudzisz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Ponte, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Filomeno Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horaţiu Bacalbașa in the 22nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Bacardi Black Bats's Artur Brudzisz got control of the ball when Vítor Varanda tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 27th minute of the match Bacardi Black Bats got a corner. AD FAFE's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hermenegildo Rebelo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Abílio Severiano was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After a defensive mix-up in AD FAFE's zone, Horaţiu Bacalbașa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filomeno Santana came out of the goal and Horaţiu Bacalbașa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hermenegildo Rebelo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 38 played minutes AD FAFE got a freekick which was hit by Juliano Azenha. In the 39th minute, Horaţiu Bacalbașa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hermenegildo Rebelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st match minute, AD FAFE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonçalo Freire to maneuver through the defense. In the 42ndth minute of the game Horaţiu Bacalbașa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AD FAFE's Filomeno Santana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bacardi Black Bats's Horaţiu Bacalbașa got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Bacardi Black Bats fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Bacardi Black Bats's Horaţiu Bacalbașa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Abílio Severiano came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Filomeno Santana could save by the left post. When Bacardi Black Bats's Horaţiu Bacalbașa in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AD FAFE's goalie prevented a goal. Filomeno Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horaţiu Bacalbașa in the 58th minute of the match. Filomeno Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horaţiu Bacalbașa in the 58th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, AD FAFE's goal looked a bit too open when Horaţiu Bacalbașa came free, but Filomeno Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filomeno Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horaţiu Bacalbașa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bacardi Black Bats made a substitution. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute Noel Regueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Brudzisz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bacardi Black Bats's Artur Brudzisz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Regueira in the 80th minute of play. The supporters of Bacardi Black Bats booed when AD FAFE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonçalo Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in AD FAFE's zone, Horaţiu Bacalbașa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filomeno Santana came out of the goal and Horaţiu Bacalbașa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Horaţiu Bacalbașa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filomeno Santana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Jacinto Ponte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Brudzisz having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Bacardi Black Bats had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
