Germano Carmona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Palmiro Bettencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lu Chen in the 8th minute of play forced Stars Academy's goalkeeper Germano Carmona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Stars Academy's Germano Carmona got control of the ball when Palmiro Bettencourt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Germano Carmona made an important save on a dangerous shot by Palmiro Bettencourt in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Vítor Resende had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Germano Carmona. Stars Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vítor Resende was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lu Chen in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Germano Carmona saved Stars Academy from getting behind. 19 minutes into the match, Palmiro Bettencourt notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Stars Academy's Germano Carmona. Germano Carmona was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stars Academy's Germano Carmona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lu Chen in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Stars Academy's goalkeeper Germano Carmona had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Klaus Van Mellart. Germano Carmona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lu Chen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Klaus Van Mellart took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Germano Carmona. Germano Carmona dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 29 minutes into the match, Stars Academy's goalkeeper Germano Carmona had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Klaus Van Mellart. Germano Carmona came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Micaelense's Klaus Van Mellart. But to his dismay, Klaus Van Mellart quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. With a little luck, Stars Academy's Germano Carmona got control of the ball when Klaus Van Mellart tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Palmiro Bettencourt kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Germano Carmona. That made the score 5-0 in the 37 minute of play. After 41 minutes of play, Atlético Micaelense's Lu Chen made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Germano Carmona was left in no man's land by his defense there! 46 minutes into the game, Lu Chen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Germano Carmona. Lu Chen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 7-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 7-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Américo Albuquerque was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Palmiro Bettencourt in the 52nd minute of play forced Stars Academy's goalkeeper Germano Carmona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Lu Chen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Germano Carmona was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Lu Chen scored 9-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Germano Carmona, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 70th minute, Palmiro Bettencourt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Micaelense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0. Germano Carmona came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Micaelense's Lu Chen. But to his dismay, Lu Chen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 13-0. After 87 minutes of play, Atlético Micaelense's Lu Chen made it 14-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Germano Carmona was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Stars Academy defense, Palmiro Bettencourt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Germano Carmona. The Stars Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Germano Carmona should have stopped the shot. 94 minutes into the match, Klaus Van Mellart had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Germano Carmona. Stars Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Klaus Van Mellart was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 16-0.
