Américo Albuquerque started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the match, Stars Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Gonçalo Freire came free, but Germano Carmona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute Raul Sales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Germano Carmona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Germano Carmona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Ponte in the 9th minute of the match. Américo Albuquerque was slow to take the kick. During this time Stars Academy's players had a chance to rest. Bento Perdigão was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Gonçalo Freire recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute, Artur Caldas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AD FAFE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Jacinto Ponte scored 0-4 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Germano Carmona, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacinto Ponte made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Stars Academy's zone, Jacinto Ponte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Germano Carmona came out of the goal and Jacinto Ponte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raul Sales got free with Germano Carmona in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Artur Caldas took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Germano Carmona. Germano Carmona dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. AD FAFE's Jacinto Ponte got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Raul Sales left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AD FAFE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. After some careless play in the Stars Academy defense, Raul Sales kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Germano Carmona. The Stars Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Germano Carmona should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Bento Perdigão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stars Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Bento Perdigão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filomeno Santana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Germano Carmona didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raul Sales went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-10 was the resulting score. Noel Regueira scored 0-11 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Germano Carmona, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 90 minutes into the match, Raul Sales notched a goal, 0-12, to the right of Stars Academy's Germano Carmona. Germano Carmona was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jacinto Ponte charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacinto Ponte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jacinto Ponte kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
