Artur Brudzisz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lu Chen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 4th minute of the match, Klaus Van Mellart got a very nice opportunity to score, but Artur Brudzisz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 5th minute Klaus Van Mellart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Brudzisz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute Quentin Platt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervásio Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Bacardi Black Bats's Artur Brudzisz got control of the ball when Klaus Van Mellart tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Klaus Van Mellart kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Artur Brudzisz. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Klaus Van Mellart got free with Artur Brudzisz in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Bacardi Black Bats's Artur Brudzisz got control of the ball when Klaus Van Mellart tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bacardi Black Bats's goalkeeper Artur Brudzisz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Bacardi Black Bats booed when Atlético Micaelense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Palmiro Osório didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Hermenegildo Rebelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bacardi Black Bats's supporters rose to their feet, but Hermenegildo Rebelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gervásio Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bacardi Black Bats's Artur Brudzisz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klaus Van Mellart in the 28th minute of play. After having played for 30 minutes, Hermenegildo Rebelo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bacardi Black Bats's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hermenegildo Rebelo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Horaţiu Bacalbașa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gervásio Sousa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Horaţiu Bacalbașa might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gervásio Sousa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Horaţiu Bacalbașa ran back to his position shaking his head. Gervásio Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horaţiu Bacalbașa in the 41st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Klaus Van Mellart took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Artur Brudzisz to make any attempt to save it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Bacardi Black Bats booed when Atlético Micaelense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Palmiro Bettencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artur Brudzisz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabrício Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Palmiro Bettencourt in the 56th minute of play forced Bacardi Black Bats's goalkeeper Artur Brudzisz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horaţiu Bacalbașa hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. When Wojciech Grunwalski fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bacardi Black Bats's protests and gave Wojciech Grunwalski a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bacardi Black Bats getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Wojciech Grunwalski hit a great ball. Bacardi Black Bats's Germano Rosado was substituted for Quentin Platt. The supporters of Atlético Micaelense booed when Bacardi Black Bats was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wojciech Grunwalski didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Bacardi Black Bats's Horaţiu Bacalbașa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gervásio Sousa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Horaţiu Bacalbașa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gervásio Sousa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. After 76 minutes of play, Bacardi Black Bats's Horaţiu Bacalbașa made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gervásio Sousa was left in no man's land by his defense there! 81 minutes into the match, Horaţiu Bacalbașa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gervásio Sousa, 3-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horaţiu Bacalbașa in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gervásio Sousa saved Atlético Micaelense from getting behind. Bacardi Black Bats were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Atlético Micaelense's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hermenegildo Rebelo took the corner. The corner led to Bacardi Black Bats's Wojciech Grunwalski getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 89 minutes into the game, Horaţiu Bacalbașa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gervásio Sousa. Horaţiu Bacalbașa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-3. Hermenegildo Rebelo charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hermenegildo Rebelo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd minute, Hermenegildo Rebelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
