In the 5th minute Horaţiu Bacalbașa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filomeno Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bacardi Black Bats's Artur Brudzisz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juliano Azenha in the 8th minute of play. Raul Sales kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Artur Brudzisz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juliano Azenha, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 14thth minute of the game Horaţiu Bacalbașa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AD FAFE's Filomeno Santana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Filomeno Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horaţiu Bacalbașa, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute Bacardi Black Bats were awarded a corner. Hermenegildo Rebelo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of AD FAFE's goalie and right to Wojciech Grunwalski. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. AD FAFE's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Horaţiu Bacalbașa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filomeno Santana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute Horaţiu Bacalbașa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filomeno Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Bacardi Black Bats's Horaţiu Bacalbașa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filomeno Santana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A beautiful save bye AD FAFE's goalie prevented a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Horaţiu Bacalbașa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Artur Brudzisz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Michal Parzysz hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Jacinto Ponte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Filomeno Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horaţiu Bacalbașa, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Freire in the 59th minute of play forced Bacardi Black Bats's goalkeeper Artur Brudzisz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Bacardi Black Bats's Horaţiu Bacalbașa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filomeno Santana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Bacardi Black Bats's Leandro Calçada was substituted for Cristóvão França. The supporters of Bacardi Black Bats booed when AD FAFE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Varanda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bacardi Black Bats made a substitution. Germano Rosado replaced Quentin Platt. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of AD FAFE:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bacardi Black Bats:s goal. In the 73rd minute there was a penalty for Bacardi Black Bats. Wojciech Grunwalski stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Filomeno Santana. 3-0. Horaţiu Bacalbașa took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Filomeno Santana. Filomeno Santana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Horaţiu Bacalbașa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horaţiu Bacalbașa in the 79th minute of play forced AD FAFE's goalkeeper Filomeno Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AD FAFE's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Bacardi Black Bats had won, even though AD FAFE had held more of the ball.
