SalentoUnited's Igor Brandenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tolek Kornatowski in the 6th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, SalentoUnited's Frasier Huber sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fausto Pinho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Frasier Huber's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fausto Pinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Fidel Ciprella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Pinho having to interfere. Igor Brandenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matt Brandenberg in the 17th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frasier Huber got free with Fausto Pinho in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frasier Huber received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fausto Pinho came out and tried to block the shot, but Frasier Huber slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 21st minute. In the 25th minute Matt Brandenberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Brandenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, SalentoUnited's Frasier Huber dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Denti della Vecchia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Frasier Huber scored to the left of an out of position Fausto Pinho, making the score, 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as SalentoUnited's Frasier Huber slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fausto Pinho. That made the score 4-0 after 40 minutes of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frasier Huber stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Frasier Huber had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fausto Pinho. Denti della Vecchia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frasier Huber was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Denti della Vecchia's Fausto Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavius Gräf in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute SalentoUnited were awarded a corner. Fidel Ciprella went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led SalentoUnited's Fidel Ciprella to fire away a dangerous shot which Fausto Pinho despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Denti della Vecchia's goal looked a bit too open when Frasier Huber came free, but Fausto Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fritz Hernström got a throw-in 63 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Tadeu Bittencourt. 69 minutes into the match, Urbano Hotz notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Denti della Vecchia's Fausto Pinho. Fausto Pinho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 72nd minute Urbano Hotz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SalentoUnited's Markus Paul De La Rue was substituted for Alexis Veterini. 74 minutes in the game Fritz Hernström did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Tadeu Bittencourt. Fritz Hernström kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Urbano Hotz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fausto Pinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Fausto Pinho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Urbano Hotz went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to SalentoUnited getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Urbano Hotz hit a great ball. Igor Brandenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbyszko Galaska in the 93rd minute of play. Many of Denti della Vecchia's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Denti della Vecchia may have spent more time on the ball, but SalentoUnited were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
