When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Claudiu Bumba took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Igor Brandenberg to make any attempt to save it. In the 12th minute, Frasier Huber made a precise shot to the right of Michele Rieger. Axenstein's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After having played for 15 minutes, Octavius Gräf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SalentoUnited's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octavius Gräf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A throw-in in the 17th minute of the game was made by Valentin Trucco with Bodo Oster as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Frasier Huber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 28 minutes into the match, Axenstein's goal looked a bit too open when Frasier Huber came free, but Michele Rieger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michele Rieger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frasier Huber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SalentoUnited's Igor Brandenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudiu Bumba in the 36th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudiu Bumba to strike the kick off in the second half. Frasier Huber kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 57th minute Ragnar Lodbrok shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Brandenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Axenstein defense, Frasier Huber kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michele Rieger. The Axenstein fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michele Rieger should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bodo Oster in the 63rd minute of play forced SalentoUnited's goalkeeper Igor Brandenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ergincan Suerkan's late challenge caught a Axenstein's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ergincan Suerkan helped the player get up and apologised. After 65 played minutes SalentoUnited got a freekick which was hit by Ergincan Suerkan. A collision led to SalentoUnited getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Ergincan Suerkan hit a great ball. Octavius Gräf might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michele Rieger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Octavius Gräf ran back to his position shaking his head. 73 minutes into the match, Axenstein's goal looked a bit too open when Urbano Hotz came free, but Michele Rieger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Igor Brandenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Janusz Skaradowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Igor Brandenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Janusz Skaradowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 81 minutes into the match, SalentoUnited's goal looked a bit too open when Ragnar Lodbrok came free, but Igor Brandenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SalentoUnited's Kari Fortunin quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Joshua Kimmich, made in the 87th minute of the game. Michele Rieger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urbano Hotz in the 89th minute of the match. Michele Rieger made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Urbano Hotz sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to SalentoUnited getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Urbano Hotz hit a great ball. After 94 played minutes SalentoUnited got a freekick which was hit by Kari Fortunin.
