Olympique Fribourg's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mich Batshuayi got free with Michele Rieger in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Michele Rieger made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Mich Batshuayi sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Olympique Fribourg getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Ant Koyak hit a great ball. Tristan Arioli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ragnar Lodbrok in the 12th minute of play. Ragnar Lodbrok scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tristan Arioli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Olympique Fribourg's Tristan Arioli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ragnar Lodbrok in the 16th minute of play. Bruno Steiner struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Michele Rieger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olympique Fribourg. A sloppy throw-in by Gene Emmenegger in the 21st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Axenstein's Yannick Willi. 22 minutes into the match, Olympique Fribourg's goal looked a bit too open when Bodo Oster came free, but Tristan Arioli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tristan Arioli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bodo Oster, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Axenstein's Michele Rieger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Steiner in the 24th minute of play. In the 28th minute of the match Bodo Oster shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tristan Arioli showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 34 played minutes Olympique Fribourg got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Steiner. After a rather tough play, Olympique Fribourg's Fabio Poffet got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute of the match Bodo Oster shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tristan Arioli showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tristan Arioli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudiu Bumba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Olympique Fribourg's Ant Koyak got a free kick in the 47th minute. Bodo Oster's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tristan Arioli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudiu Bumba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Claudiu Bumba kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tristan Arioli. That made the score 0-2 in the 53 minute of play. After 56 played minutes Olympique Fribourg got a freekick which was hit by Gene Emmenegger. 57 minutes into the match, Olympique Fribourg's goalkeeper Tristan Arioli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ragnar Lodbrok. Ragnar Lodbrok received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tristan Arioli came out and tried to block the shot, but Ragnar Lodbrok slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 57th minute. Ant Koyak kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Ragnar Lodbrok ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tristan Arioli was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Tristan Arioli successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A nice corner shot did that Bodo Oster got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tristan Arioli quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Yannick Willi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tristan Arioli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ragnar Lodbrok in the 76th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the game, one of Olympique Fribourg:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Yannick Willi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Axenstein's supporters rose to their feet, but Yannick Willi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tristan Arioli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Joshua Kimmich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th match minute, Olympique Fribourg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Poffet to maneuver through the defense. Axenstein's Claudiu Bumba got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 98th minute Claudiu Bumba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristan Arioli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
