The crowd rose to their feet as Frasier Huber kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Michele Rieger. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Axenstein's goalkeeper Michele Rieger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 16 played minutes Axenstein got a freekick which was hit by Claudiu Bumba. Valentin Trucco got a throw-in 24 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jonny Schwyzer. Frasier Huber blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Michele Rieger having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frasier Huber got free with Michele Rieger in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29th minute Ragnar Lodbrok shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Brandenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to SalentoUnited getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Ergincan Suerkan hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Axenstein's zone, Octavius Gräf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michele Rieger came out of the goal and Octavius Gräf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frasier Huber to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the game Valentin Trucco made a throw-in which Hans Kulenovic played forward. Michele Rieger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frasier Huber in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute Frasier Huber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michele Rieger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Axenstein's goal looked a bit too open when Frasier Huber came free, but Michele Rieger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valentin Trucco made in the 57th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Jonny Schwyzer immediately put the ball in play. SalentoUnited's Igor Brandenberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save SalentoUnited from getting a goal against them. When Frasier Huber came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the SalentoUnited fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frasier Huber couldn't finish the play. Igor Brandenberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ragnar Lodbrok in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute Jonny Schwyzer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Brandenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frasier Huber's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michele Rieger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Frasier Huber took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Michele Rieger. Michele Rieger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Michele Rieger came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by SalentoUnited's Urbano Hotz. But to his dismay, Urbano Hotz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0.
