Taniel Maasar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Taniel Maasar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Riivo Paat in the 10th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Lauri Niit could shoot a difficult shot in the 12th minute, which Illimar Sulg however easily saved by the left post. Taniel Maasar came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Hugo's Riivo Paat. But to his dismay, Riivo Paat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 17th minute, Helari Põldmaa made a precise shot to the right of Taniel Maasar. FC Minerva Tallinn's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 20 minutes into the match, Helari Põldmaa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Taniel Maasar. FC Minerva Tallinn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Helari Põldmaa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Lauri Niit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Illimar Sulg having to interfere. Taniel Maasar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Riivo Paat went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. 30 minutes into the match, Helari Põldmaa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Taniel Maasar. Ray Sotelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Illimar Sulg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, FC Minerva Tallinn's Arnulfo Dolfos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Illimar Sulg. Illimar Sulg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-7. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of FC Minerva Tallinn:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Hugo:s goal. The referee gave FC Hugo a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Andre Emapoeg, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Minerva Tallinn's Taniel Maasar. 1-8. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-8 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Riivo Paat scored 1-9 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Taniel Maasar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Illimar Sulg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnulfo Dolfos, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Arnulfo Dolfos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 82 played minutes FC Hugo got a freekick which was hit by Maarek Nisu. After some careless play in the FC Hugo defense, Lauri Niit kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Illimar Sulg. The FC Hugo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Illimar Sulg should have stopped the shot. Illimar Sulg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lauri Niit, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. With a little luck, FC Minerva Tallinn's Taniel Maasar got control of the ball when Maarek Nisu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Taniel Maasar made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Helari Põldmaa sent off a good shot on target. FC Hugo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
