Seating: 41, VIP seats: 3) In the 3rd minute, Pearse McWilliam reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fergus Fairbairn. The goal made the score 1-0. Fergus Fairbairn came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by St. James Gate F.C.'s Pearse McWilliam. But to his dismay, Pearse McWilliam quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Fergus Fairbairn came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by St. James Gate F.C.'s Hewney Kirby. But to his dismay, Hewney Kirby quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 16th play minute Pearse McWilliam came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fergus Fairbairn. 4-0. Pearse McWilliam blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fergus Fairbairn having to make a save. Fergus Fairbairn was a little too slow when Barhart Costello got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 5-0. The supporters of St. James Gate F.C. booed when Rangers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Logan McCubbin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 28 minutes, Danny Gilespie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rangers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danny Gilespie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barhart Costello in the 30th minute of play forced Rangers FC's goalkeeper Fergus Fairbairn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rangers FC's Fergus Fairbairn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hewney Kirby in the 31st minute of play. Burke Martyn kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. St. James Gate F.C.'s Brigid Rutherford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raymond Johnston in the 38th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as St. James Gate F.C.'s Barhart Costello slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fergus Fairbairn. That made the score 6-0 after 40 minutes of play. St. James Gate F.C.'s Bannon Glen Crowe was substituted for Pearse McWilliam.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bannon Glen Crowe was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, St. James Gate F.C.'s Brigid Rutherford got control of the ball when Raymond Johnston tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fergus Fairbairn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barhart Costello in the 54th minute of play. 7-0 became the score in the 56th minute when Barhart Costello elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Fergus Fairbairn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barhart Costello, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. St. James Gate F.C. had played much better football throughout.
