Per-Erik Hjortberg made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Ahmed Cohen sent off a good shot on target. 6 minutes into the match, Adolfo Salvino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Youssef Sofiane. Phenomenals FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adolfo Salvino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Rothwell Park's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sammy Keino in the 11th minute. Rothwell Park's Sammy Keino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Youssef Sofiane in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Per-Erik Hjortberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baal Demon, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fodil Mansouri got free with Per-Erik Hjortberg in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ahmed Cohen came free with the goalkeeper in the 19th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Per-Erik Hjortberg could save by the left post. 28 minutes into the match, Phenomenals FC's Fodil Mansouri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Per-Erik Hjortberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adolfo Salvino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Youssef Sofiane read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Baal Demon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Per-Erik Hjortberg. Baal Demon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 37th minute, Adolfo Salvino made a precise shot to the right of Youssef Sofiane. Phenomenals FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The supporters of Phenomenals FC booed when Rothwell Park was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christopher Mbugua didn't get a good kick on the ball. Youssef Sofiane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Salvino in the 43rd minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 50th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rothwell Park's goalkeeper Per-Erik Hjortberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baal Demon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Erik Hjortberg having to interfere. Rothwell Park made a substitution. Abdallah Ali Bungei replaced Elijah Leakey. In the 60th match minute, Phenomenals FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fodil Mansouri to maneuver through the defense. Per-Erik Hjortberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmed Cohen, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Adolfo Salvino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rothwell Park's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo Salvino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Youssef Sofiane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adolfo Salvino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Youssef Sofiane came out and tried to block the shot, but Adolfo Salvino slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubinho Melo in the 72nd minute of play forced Rothwell Park's goalkeeper Per-Erik Hjortberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rothwell Park's Githinji Ntalami was substituted for Neymar Mané. In the 78th minute, Baal Demon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Per-Erik Hjortberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. 84 minutes into the game, Baal Demon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Per-Erik Hjortberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Per-Erik Hjortberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arias Coz in the 90th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Phenomenals FC's Arias Coz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Per-Erik Hjortberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-3. In the 95th match minute, Phenomenals FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arias Coz to maneuver through the defense. Rothwell Park's Sammy Keino shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 96th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Youssef Sofiane but with some difficulty. There was no doubt that Phenomenals FC were the better team. Phenomenals FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
