Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Michal Majdoch kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arden Poulin in the 7th minute of play forced Jagiellonia Denver's goalkeeper Eric Gary to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute Avery Merrill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Gary saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Jagiellonia Denver's goal looked a bit too open when Avery Merrill came free, but Eric Gary reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18 minutes of play, Persepolis F.C.'s Danny Craig made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eric Gary was left in no man's land by his defense there! With an all-out effort, Jagiellonia Denver's Santos Perez threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Michal Majdoch, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 23rd minute Avery Merrill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Gary saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santos Perez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hélio Donatello in the 27th minute. If Per-Olof Åkesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eric Gary showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arden Poulin in the 31st minute of the match. Jagiellonia Denver's Eric Gary played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arden Poulin in the 35th minute of play. Santos Perez was a little too slow when Per-Olof Åkesson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 1-1. After a rather tough play, Persepolis F.C.'s Justo Carlomagno got a free kick in the 40th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arden Poulin made a kick off. Eric Gary took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arden Poulin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arden Poulin in the 58th minute of play forced Jagiellonia Denver's goalkeeper Eric Gary to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Persepolis F.C.'s Arden Poulin managed to work through Jagiellonia Denver's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Arden Poulin dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 61st minute, Arden Poulin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eric Gary was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 66th match minute, Jagiellonia Denver was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michal Majdoch to maneuver through the defense. Jagiellonia Denver's Venceslas Borizar was substituted for Nicolae Costa. If Venceslas Borizar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 played minutes Ildefonso Harkaitz rounded Jagiellonia Denver's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. Santos Perez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélio Donatello, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Persepolis F.C. made a substitution. Dennis Rudolph replaced Gwidon Seliga. Jagiellonia Denver were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Persepolis F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Per-Olof Åkesson took the corner. 81 minutes into the match, Jagiellonia Denver's goalkeeper Eric Gary had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Danny Craig. Eric Gary made an important save on a dangerous shot by Avery Merrill in the 91st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Justo Carlomagno got free with Eric Gary in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Persepolis F.C. played a much better game than Jagiellonia Denver and deserved their victory. The Jagiellonia Denver players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
