The Lucky Star fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Lucky Star's Yani Tegarkov looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 15 minutes Albirex Niigata FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hasan Rumangkit who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Otong Pink got away a dangerous shot. Despite this 俞冰帆 quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 16 minutes into the match, Albirex Niigata FC's goal looked a bit too open when Silas Caro came free, but 俞冰帆 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 19 minutes, Silas Caro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lucky Star's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silas Caro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 22 minutes of play, Albirex Niigata FC's Diego Belém made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joélson Domingues was left in no man's land by his defense there! 25 minutes into the match, Albirex Niigata FC's goalkeeper 俞冰帆 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yani Tegarkov. Diego Belém recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Albirex Niigata FC's goalkeeper 俞冰帆 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yani Tegarkov. 俞冰帆 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hasan Rumangkit in the 34th minute. The audience was convinced that Yani Tegarkov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but 俞冰帆 was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. 俞冰帆 made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Yani Tegarkov sent off a good shot on target. Dian Garnita hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After 44 minutes, Jonathan Yi-Sheng mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Albirex Niigata FC and the Lucky Star players grew even worse after the yellow card. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yani Tegarkov to make the kick off. Lucky Star's Otong Pink got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silas Caro during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th match minute, Lucky Star was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silas Caro to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the match, Albirex Niigata FC's goal looked a bit too open when Yani Tegarkov came free, but 俞冰帆 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andra Mandagi made in the 72nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Albirex Niigata FC's Alexander Tan. Lucky Star's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Diego Belém scored to the left of an out of position Joélson Domingues, making the score, 1-2. 俞冰帆 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otong Yulianto in the 79th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Yani Tegarkov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but 俞冰帆 was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. After having played for 91 minutes, Otong Pink managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lucky Star's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otong Pink was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Albirex Niigata FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
