Spectators: 175 (Terracing: 132, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Sài Gòn's Nguyễn Chi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lưu Thuyet made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Vadim Shiryaev sent off a good shot on target. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sài Gòn fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Lưu Thuyet, was totally fooled by Fly T.T's Curt Weyermann, who 6 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Nguyễn Nga hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute Bertrand Glass shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lưu Thuyet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vadim Shiryaev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Lưu Thuyet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fly T.T were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Sài Gòn's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Curt Weyermann took the corner. The corner led Fly T.T's Vadim Shiryaev to fire away a dangerous shot which Lưu Thuyet despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Sài Gòn's goalkeeper Lưu Thuyet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Franciszek Kopacz. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sài Gòn's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Curt Weyermann was slow to take the kick. During this time Fly T.T's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Fly T.T's Curt Weyermann to fire away a dangerous shot which Lưu Thuyet despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Huỳnh Phuc hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Curt Weyermann took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lưu Thuyet. Sài Gòn's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 39th minute, Vũ Tấn Dũng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rhett Merchant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bertrand Glass's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Lưu Thuyet skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bertrand Glass made a kick off. Vadim Shiryaev took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lưu Thuyet. Lưu Thuyet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertrand Glass in the 59th minute of play forced Sài Gòn's goalkeeper Lưu Thuyet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sài Gòn's zone, Jan Smitt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lưu Thuyet came out of the goal and Jan Smitt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lưu Thuyet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pastor Vergaray went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Fly T.T's Quentin Kendrick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Chi in the 70th minute of play. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Bertrand Glass sped through Sài Gòn's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lưu Thuyet. Sài Gòn's Lưu Thuyet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertrand Glass in the 76th minute of play. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Bertrand Glass sped through Sài Gòn's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lưu Thuyet. 79 minutes into the match, Sài Gòn's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Smitt came free, but Lưu Thuyet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bertrand Glass in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lưu Thuyet saved Sài Gòn from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Sài Gòn's zone, Jan Smitt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lưu Thuyet came out of the goal and Jan Smitt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Quentin Kendrick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Chi in the 85th minute of the match. After 86 played minutes Fly T.T got a freekick which was hit by Jan Smitt. Lưu Thuyet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rhett Merchant in the 90th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Sài Gòn's goal looked a bit too open when Pastor Vergaray came free, but Lưu Thuyet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lưu Thuyet came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Fly T.T's Bertrand Glass. But to his dismay, Bertrand Glass quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Fly T.T had played much better football throughout.
