The audience thought a goal was coming when Bertrand Glass got free with Cătălin Ostoici in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iago Romero in the 14th minute of play forced Fly T.T's goalkeeper Quentin Kendrick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Iago Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BuanaRaya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iago Romero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Quentin Kendrick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grigoris Katsafanas in the 21st minute of the match. Rhett Merchant received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cătălin Ostoici came out and tried to block the shot, but Rhett Merchant slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 23rd minute. Jeronimo Txatxu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Quentin Kendrick read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fly T.T's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jeronimo Txatxu was slow to take the kick. During this time BuanaRaya's players had a chance to rest. The corner led BuanaRaya's Jeronimo Txatxu to fire away a dangerous shot which Quentin Kendrick despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jan Smitt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cătălin Ostoici read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Jan Smitt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cătălin Ostoici having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bertrand Glass was the one to do the kick off. Fly T.T's Quentin Kendrick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Ceyhan İlmi in the 94th minute of play. Quentin Kendrick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Suki Sapulette, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After 96 played minutes Fly T.T got a freekick which was hit by Vadim Shiryaev. After a defensive mix-up in Fly T.T's zone, Suki Sapulette stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Quentin Kendrick came out of the goal and Suki Sapulette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
