Spectators: 195 (Terracing: 147, Seating: 45, VIP seats: 3) Sài Gòn's Nguyễn Chi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mohammed Matoub's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lưu Thuyet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the game, Mohammed Matoub cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Lưu Thuyet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lưu Thuyet was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Hocine Bentaala capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hocine Bentaala really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. After a rather tough play, Qatar Dust Kickers's Abdellah Kader got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute, Nguyễn Chi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hocine Bentaala in the 20th minute of play forced Sài Gòn's goalkeeper Lưu Thuyet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lưu Thuyet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilles Tahar in the 21st minute. If Mohammed Matoub had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Đặng Dung hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilles Tahar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Lưu Thuyet when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lưu Thuyet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hocine Bentaala, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After 37 minutes, Nguyễn Nga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sài Gòn and the Qatar Dust Kickers players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 37 played minutes Sài Gòn got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Nga. 40 minutes into the match, Sài Gòn's goalkeeper Lưu Thuyet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilles Tahar. When Abdellah Kader fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Qatar Dust Kickers's protests and gave Abdellah Kader a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd match minute, Qatar Dust Kickers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdellah Kader to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Qatar Dust Kickers's Gilles Tahar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lưu Thuyet. Lưu Thuyet yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Sài Gòn's Lưu Thuyet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilles Tahar in the 58th minute of play. Abdellah Kader got his second yellow card in the match during the 61st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 68th minute Hocine Bentaala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lưu Thuyet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lưu Thuyet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilles Tahar in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hocine Bentaala in the 75th minute of play forced Sài Gòn's goalkeeper Lưu Thuyet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute of the match Qatar Dust Kickers got a corner. Sài Gòn's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Maamar Soltani ran over to the corner to take the kick. Maamar Soltani made a great header on Qatar Dust Kickers's corner, it was just that Sài Gòn's Lưu Thuyet managed to reach the ball for a save. Lưu Thuyet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hocine Bentaala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jussef Zemmamouche was a little too slow when Nguyễn Chi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 5-2. Mohammed Matoub received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Lưu Thuyet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lưu Thuyet came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Qatar Dust Kickers's Hocine Bentaala. But to his dismay, Hocine Bentaala quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-2.
