The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Set Fire's Delmiro Rosalio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Set Fire from getting a goal against them. Delmiro Rosalio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ali Erdem Tekinsoy in the 11th minute. Set Fire's Delmiro Rosalio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Harri in the 13th minute of play. Farid Ayham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magno Jaka Jamba in the 15th minute of the match. With his leg Delmiro Rosalio managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Atletico Beirut's Florencio Harri fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Farid Ayham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fedele Scirea in the 18th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arif Egemen Karaca got free with Delmiro Rosalio in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute Atletico Beirut were awarded a corner. Florencio Harri went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 25th minute, Rogério Pedrosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Delmiro Rosalio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Olbrechts in the 26th minute of the match. In the 30thth minute of the game Florencio Harri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Set Fire's Delmiro Rosalio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Magno Jaka Jamba in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Farid Ayham saved Atletico Beirut from getting behind. Farid Ayham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magno Jaka Jamba in the 33rd minute of play. Farid Ayham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magno Jaka Jamba, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. With an all-out effort, Atletico Beirut's Delmiro Rosalio threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ali Erdem Tekinsoy, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The wind increased when Fedele Scirea made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Set Fire's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Erdem Tekinsoy came free, but Delmiro Rosalio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Set Fire getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Rogério Pedrosa hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Set Fire's David Onas got a free kick in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Erdem Tekinsoy in the 66th minute of play forced Set Fire's goalkeeper Delmiro Rosalio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute Ali Erdem Tekinsoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmiro Rosalio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Fedele Scirea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Set Fire's supporters rose to their feet, but Fedele Scirea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Farid Ayham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Set Fire's Fedele Scirea got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 78 played minutes Set Fire got a freekick which was hit by David Onas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florencio Harri in the 81st minute of play forced Set Fire's goalkeeper Delmiro Rosalio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd match minute, Set Fire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lilian Thuram to maneuver through the defense. After 84 played minutes, Atletico Beirut's Yazid Abdul Hakim shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Delmiro Rosalio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atletico Beirut reached it. Delmiro Rosalio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Erdem Tekinsoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. If Fedele Scirea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 90th minute, Ali Erdem Tekinsoy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Delmiro Rosalio was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Wladyslaw Brudzisz kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Delmiro Rosalio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Erdem Tekinsoy in the 94th minute of play. After 94 minutes, Rogério Pedrosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Set Fire and the Atletico Beirut players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Atletico Beirut booed when Set Fire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Pedrosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Delmiro Rosalio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Olbrechts in the 96th minute of the match. Set Fire's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
