Spectators: 208 (Terracing: 156, Seating: 48, VIP seats: 4) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Piet Goemyne kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the match, Varennes's goal looked a bit too open when Darweesh Al Matrok came free, but Gilberto Boone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Maurice Odonnell notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Golden Tigers's Marian Oelke. Marian Oelke was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Piet Goemyne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piet Goemyne's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilberto Boone read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gilberto Boone was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Piet Goemyne capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Piet Goemyne really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Gilberto Boone was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Darweesh Al Matrok capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Golden Tigers's Marian Oelke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erwin Gay in the 23rd minute of play. Gilberto Boone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Piet Goemyne in the 28th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Piet Goemyne ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilberto Boone was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 34th minute Piet Goemyne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Boone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Varennes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. 何文震 was slow to take the kick. During this time Golden Tigers's players had a chance to rest. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Varennes's zone, Dante Obano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Boone came out of the goal and Dante Obano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 42 minutes, Maurice Odonnell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Varennes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurice Odonnell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maurice Odonnell to strike the kick off in the second half. Maurice Odonnell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marian Oelke having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Piet Goemyne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilberto Boone was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. After 58 minutes Golden Tigers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Théophile Berger who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Varennes's Maurice Odonnell to fire away a dangerous shot which Marian Oelke despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Golden Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Maurice Odonnell came free, but Marian Oelke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marian Oelke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurice Odonnell in the 66th minute of the match. Maurice Odonnell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marian Oelke having to interfere. Varennes made a substitution. Hong Mosher replaced Ward Houde. Piet Goemyne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th minute 何文震 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Boone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Piet Goemyne scored 4-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gilberto Boone, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 82nd minute, Piet Goemyne ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilberto Boone was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. In the 85th minute, Maurice Odonnell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marian Oelke was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. Piet Goemyne's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilberto Boone read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. When Piet Goemyne came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Golden Tigers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Piet Goemyne couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurice Odonnell in the 96th minute of play forced Golden Tigers's goalkeeper Marian Oelke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Golden Tigers players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
