An unexpectedly hard shot by Caio Dante in the 3rd minute of play forced Marrakech FC's goalkeeper Sebastião Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Marrakech FC booed when SAPI FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martinus Bachdim didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute, Abdellatif Benkhirane fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Caio Dante blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastião Salgado having to make a save. In the 12th minute Caio Dante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Caio Dante left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SAPI FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. With a little luck, SAPI FC's Anak Habib got control of the ball when Nacer Khlifi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sebastião Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caio Dante in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 23rdth minute of the game Caio Dante who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marrakech FC's Sebastião Salgado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nacer Khlifi got free with Anak Habib in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nacer Khlifi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anak Habib having to interfere. Sebastião Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sad Boy in the 34th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Marrakech FC defense, Caio Dante kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastião Salgado. The Marrakech FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastião Salgado should have stopped the shot. When SAPI FC's Caio Dante in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Marrakech FC's goalie prevented a goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abdellatif Benkhirane to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Caio Dante kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sebastião Salgado. That made the score 0-5 in the 55 minute of play. Anak Habib came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Marrakech FC's Nacer Khlifi. But to his dismay, Nacer Khlifi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. After having played for 65 minutes, Nacer Khlifi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marrakech FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nacer Khlifi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sebastião Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caio Dante in the 69th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Marrakech FC's goalkeeper Sebastião Salgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caio Dante. Marrakech FC's Sebastião Salgado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Marrakech FC from getting a goal against them. In the 83rd minute, Alessio Bolognesi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anak Habib took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nacer Khlifi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastião Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caio Dante in the 90th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the game, Vuyani Tshabalala was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marrakech FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SAPI FC the free kick. The supporters of SAPI FC booed when Marrakech FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vuyani Tshabalala didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johnny Västerberg made in the 94th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Cássio Proença. The SAPI FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SAPI FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
