The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Manasseh Adejuyigbe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Manasseh Adejuyigbe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abdellatif Benkhirane went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. If Alan Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute of the match, Olakunle Udoka tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sebastião Salgado saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Uchechukwu Etafia came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Tollesbury fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uchechukwu Etafia couldn't finish the play. Manasseh Adejuyigbe came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Marrakech FC's Nacer Khlifi. But to his dismay, Nacer Khlifi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. Disappointed in the 1-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ndidi Ikani was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes, Misael Diaz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marrakech FC and the Tollesbury players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 51st minute of the game. One of Marrakech FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tollesbury:s goal. Sebastião Salgado had in the 52ndth minute some difficulties stopping Ndidi Ikani's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 52 minutes into the match, Ndidi Ikani notched a goal, 2-6, to the right of Marrakech FC's Sebastião Salgado. Sebastião Salgado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 56th minute, Marrakech FC's Nacer Khlifi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Manasseh Adejuyigbe. In the 89th minute, Nacer Khlifi made a precise shot to the right of Manasseh Adejuyigbe. Tollesbury's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-10. Abdellatif Benkhirane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manasseh Adejuyigbe having to interfere. Marrakech FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
