In the 5th minute Dariusz Adamczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernt Alsaker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernt Alsaker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomáš Kolek in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kim Alnes in the 7th minute of play forced FC Pladask's goalkeeper Daniel Grønningsæter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernt Alsaker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of James Feldthaus's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. FC Pladask's Daniel Grønningsæter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save FC Pladask from getting a goal against them. After 14 minutes of play, FC Pladask's James Feldthaus made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernt Alsaker was left in no man's land by his defense there! Åsnes's Kim Alnes got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, FC Pladask's goalkeeper Daniel Grønningsæter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kim Alnes. James Feldthaus struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Bernt Alsaker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Pladask. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trond Soltveit in the 27th minute of play forced Åsnes's goalkeeper Bernt Alsaker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Trond Soltveit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernt Alsaker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernt Alsaker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Feldthaus in the 35th minute of the match. A throw-in in the 41st minute of the game was made by Cato Mong with Christian Risnes as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 42nd minute, Haroldo Gaitan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christian Risnes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bernt Alsaker. Åsnes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 44th minute, Dariusz Adamczak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Pladask fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kim Alnes was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes, James Feldthaus made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Åsnes's Bernt Alsaker tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Åsnes's Necdet Baysu got a free kick in the 54th minute. FC Pladask's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kjetil-André Grønseth in the 59th minute. A well done corner resulted in Inge Børseth drilling the ball in to score 0-6 behind Åsnes's goalkeeper. Bernt Alsaker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomáš Kolek, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute, Roman Bide hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Feldthaus in the 75th minute of play forced Åsnes's goalkeeper Bernt Alsaker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Kim Alnes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Grønningsæter was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. 82 minutes into the game, John-Einar Bøen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. When FC Pladask's Dariusz Adamczak in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
