The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Nixon in the 4th minute of play forced FC Pladask's goalkeeper Daniel Grønningsæter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, FC Pladask's goalkeeper Daniel Grønningsæter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Richard Nixon. If Richard Nixon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Daniel Grønningsæter made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Richard Nixon sent off a good shot on target. 17 minutes into the match, Trond Soltveit had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Costică Peter. Dum Dum Boys Athletics's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Trond Soltveit was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Richard Nixon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Grønningsæter having to interfere. FC Pladask's Daniel Grønningsæter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Pladask from getting a goal against them. Rocky Ryland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. James Feldthaus took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Costică Peter. Costică Peter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Costică Peter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James Feldthaus in the 29th minute of play. Dum Dum Boys Athletics's Costică Peter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trond Soltveit in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th minute Trond Soltveit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costică Peter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, FC Pladask's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Nixon came free, but Daniel Grønningsæter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling James Feldthaus in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Costică Peter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Richard Nixon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

In the 55th minute Dum Dum Boys Athletics were awarded a corner. Jon-Inge Kvalvåg went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Jon-Inge Kvalvåg got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Daniel Grønningsæter quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Costică Peter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Lima in the 60th minute of the match. Tomáš Kolek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Costică Peter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Anthony Barnes kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. David Lima could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Costică Peter made a huge save. Richard Nixon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Grønningsæter having to interfere. Daniel Grønningsæter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingar Rindal, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Daniel Grønningsæter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Nixon in the 73rd minute of the match. Costică Peter was a little too slow when James Feldthaus got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 0-4. Dum Dum Boys Athletics made a substitution. Roby Baggio replaced Richard Nixon. Dum Dum Boys Athletics's Costică Peter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by James Feldthaus in the 80th minute of play. Daniel Grønningsæter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roby Baggio in the 81st minute of play. If Roby Baggio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dum Dum Boys Athletics's Costică Peter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomáš Kolek in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Roby Baggio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dum Dum Boys Athletics fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. With a little luck, Dum Dum Boys Athletics's Costică Peter got control of the ball when David Lima tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 94 played minutes FC Pladask got a freekick which was hit by David Lima. The FC Pladask players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
