In the 16th minute Geir-Inge Skulstad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costică Peter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Søren Valen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rocky Ryland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Nixon in the 30th minute of play forced Oslo City FC's goalkeeper Søren Valen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oslo City FC's Søren Valen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Nixon in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute Dum Dum Boys Athletics were awarded a corner. Jon-Inge Kvalvåg went to the cornerflag to take it. Jon-Inge Kvalvåg made a great header on Dum Dum Boys Athletics's corner, it was just that Oslo City FC's Søren Valen managed to reach the ball for a save. With an all-out effort, Oslo City FC's Costică Peter threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vegard Bruvoll, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Costică Peter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vegard Bruvoll's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Virgil Van Dijk hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute Richard Nixon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Søren Valen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 minutes of play, Dum Dum Boys Athletics's Richard Nixon made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Søren Valen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Søren Valen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Nixon in the 45th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Geir-Inge Skulstad made a kick off. In the 56th minute, Oslo City FC's Gaute Otterlei seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gaute Otterlei the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Oslo City FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gaute Otterlei had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 55 minutes into the game, one of Oslo City FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Søren Valen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Richard Nixon's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute Elof Gustafsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costică Peter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anthony Barnes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 66th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Søren Valen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rocky Ryland in the 68th minute of the match. If Ingar Rindal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jakob Øksendal kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Virgil Van Dijk kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th minute of the match, Anthony Barnes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Søren Valen saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 88th match minute, Dum Dum Boys Athletics was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jon-Inge Kvalvåg to maneuver through the defense. Roby Baggio in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Søren Valen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 93 minutes into the game, Virgil Van Dijk threw the ball into play from the sideline. Dum Dum Boys Athletics's Ingar Rindal quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion.
