Sagene IF's Raymond Michalsen got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 28 in the game by Denis Pumnu from a close distance when the talented Glyn Wedlock managed to make a qualified save. Sagene IF's players were relieved. Martin Landro kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Dag Hartviksen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of William Knutsen's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. A collision led to Sagene IF getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Ivan Óbolo hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the game, William Knutsen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sagene IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Wipes the free kick. In the 46th minute, William Knutsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

AC Wipes's Theodor Fjermestad got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th match minute, Sagene IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kjell Ekeli to maneuver through the defense. Dag Hartviksen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raymond Michalsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dag Hartviksen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ivan Óbolo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 66 minute of play. Kamber Kornes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Glyn Wedlock read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play.
