A collision led to Laniakea getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Lars Kvaal hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the game, Doctor Potass was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cheeky Nuts United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Laniakea the free kick. In the 10th minute, Doctor Potass hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Martin Hjorth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 13th minute, Jon-Erik Vedøy made a precise shot to the right of Ali Adjani. Laniakea's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabian Lundberg in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ali Adjani saved Laniakea from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jon-Erik Vedøy got free with Ali Adjani in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sjur Voll hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Olof Skretting showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Kvaal, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Ali Adjani successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Laniakea's goalkeeper Ali Adjani, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ali Adjani made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Birger Øvstebø sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Cheeky Nuts United booed when Laniakea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jo Skinstad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cheeky Nuts United's Jon-Erik Vedøy got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Lundberg in the 47th minute of play forced Laniakea's goalkeeper Ali Adjani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Laniakea made a substitution. Eilert Nordlie replaced Lars Kvaal. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eilert Nordlie to strike the kick off in the second half. Ali Adjani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jon-Erik Vedøy, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Olof Skretting showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eilert Nordlie in the 56th minute of the match. Ali Adjani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Lundberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cheeky Nuts United made a substitution. Henrik Rakvåg replaced Lukas Grønnestad. In the 68th minute Cheeky Nuts United were awarded a corner. Stathis Konstantakis went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Cheeky Nuts United's Stathis Konstantakis to fire away a dangerous shot which Ali Adjani despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 70th minute, Jo Skinstad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olof Skretting showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy Øksendal in the 73rd minute of the match. When Laniakea's Kjetil-André Bertelsen in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cheeky Nuts United's goalie prevented a goal. Ali Adjani came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Cheeky Nuts United's Jon-Erik Vedøy. But to his dismay, Jon-Erik Vedøy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabian Lundberg in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ali Adjani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 81 minutes Laniakea's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stathis Konstantakis who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Cheeky Nuts United's corner Stathis Konstantakis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ali Adjani quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eilert Nordlie got free with Olof Skretting in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 85 minutes into the match, Cheeky Nuts United's goalkeeper Olof Skretting had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eilert Nordlie. In the 88th minute of the match, Kjetil-André Bertelsen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Olof Skretting saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Lundberg in the 89th minute of play forced Laniakea's goalkeeper Ali Adjani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ali Adjani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alf Austad in the 96th minute of play. Cheeky Nuts United's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
