The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hernan Quinton helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Consejo del Mate fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 3rd minute. Penalty! In the 5th minute there was a penalty for Victorica AFC. Patricio Pedroso stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hugo Orlando Gatti. 0-1. With an all-out effort, Consejo del Mate's Leonel Chan threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bolo Bolaño, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 15 played minutes Julio Kemen rounded Victorica AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. 17 minutes into the match, Victorica AFC's goalkeeper Leonel Chan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fagildo Pamanes. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bolo Bolaño in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonel Chan saved Victorica AFC from getting behind. Victorica AFC's Pascual Locaio got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Peruxu in the 33rd minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Ezequiel Peruxu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Victorica AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Victorica AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aquiles Cordero was slow to take the kick. During this time Consejo del Mate's players had a chance to rest. Leonel Chan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fagildo Pamanes in the 40th minute. Leonel Chan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bolo Bolaño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After a defensive mix-up in Consejo del Mate's zone, Amancio Madaleno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Orlando Gatti came out of the goal and Amancio Madaleno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonel Chan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Kemen in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fagildo Pamanes in the 62nd minute of play forced Victorica AFC's goalkeeper Leonel Chan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 63 played minutes Victorica AFC got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Pedroso. After a rather tough play, Victorica AFC's Edelmiro Lastur got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 67th minute, Fagildo Pamanes made a precise shot to the right of Leonel Chan. Victorica AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. When Amancio Madaleno came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Victorica AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amancio Madaleno couldn't finish the play. After 73 minutes of play, Consejo del Mate's Bolo Bolaño made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonel Chan was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 75th minute, Bolo Bolaño left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Consejo del Mate fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. Patricio Pedroso hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Leonel Chan came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Consejo del Mate's Bolo Bolaño. But to his dismay, Bolo Bolaño quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-2. 92 minutes into the match, Victorica AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bolo Bolaño came free, but Leonel Chan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonel Chan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fagildo Pamanes, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. With a little luck, Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti got control of the ball when Igor Hever tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Consejo del Mate fans cheered their team off the field, for while Victorica AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
