An unexpectedly hard shot by Todd Gronow in the 27th minute of play forced Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Todd Gronow in the 34th minute of play forced Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugo Orlando Gatti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Todd Gronow's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. In the 43rd match minute, Consejo del Mate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquiles Cordero to maneuver through the defense. Hayri Pitirimov hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Todd Gronow, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bolo Bolaño was the one to do the kick off. Bolo Bolaño could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Abelardo Janpier made a huge save. 61 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goal looked a bit too open when Todd Gronow came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Kemen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC made a substitution. Fabio Manuelo replaced Ildefonso Foro. In the 68thth minute of the game Todd Gronow who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Abelardo Janpier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fagildo Pamanes in the 72nd minute. Julio Kemen made a great header on Consejo del Mate's corner, it was just that Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Abelardo Janpier managed to reach the ball for a save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Consejo del Mate had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
