Ciro Gombal was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Peep Pronk capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Peep Pronk really showed his touch with that goal: 8-0.

The wind increased when Erasmo Quilino made the kick off in the second half. Peep Pronk ran back to his position shaking his head. Ciro Gombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peep Pronk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maurício Bomba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Desiderio Theobald in the 60th minute. When Dimitrie Sluis fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atletico Talleres's protests and gave Dimitrie Sluis a yellow card for diving instead. Dimitrie Sluis kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match.
