After having played for 15 minutes, Agustin Abaunza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Areco FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustin Abaunza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hercule Couret stood somewhat misplaced when Igor Cristofor came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 17 minute. Hercule Couret showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Cristofor in the 19th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Magicos's goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Abaunza came free, but Hercule Couret reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Magicos's Oséas Neiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gabriel Urtats narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Igor Cristofor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Hercule Couret tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Igor Cristofor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hercule Couret was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Cristofor in the 30th minute of play forced Magicos's goalkeeper Hercule Couret to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute of the match, Agustin Abaunza tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hercule Couret saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Agustin Abaunza made a great header on Areco FC's corner, it was just that Magicos's Hercule Couret managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 39th minute, Moises Vermudo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Igor Cristofor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hercule Couret having to interfere. The supporters of Areco FC booed when Magicos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Vermudo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Igor Cristofor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Areco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Cristofor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hercule Couret breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hercule Couret made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aquiles Pirro in the 46th minute. Aquiles Pirro didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 47th minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Aquiles Pirro ran dejectedly back to his position. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Igor Cristofor to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Aquiles Pirro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hercule Couret was relentless in the 51st minute of the game.
