Black Sails's Justino Hustaz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Black Sails from getting a goal against them. A throw-in in the 40th minute of the game was made by Adolfo Federigo with Květoslav Kubalík as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfonso Gilabert got free with Justino Hustaz in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Virgilio Bingen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Uriel Chorche was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Virgilio Bingen made a kick off. Uriel Chorche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Bingen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Black Sails's Justino Hustaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Gilabert in the 75th minute of play. 76 minutes into the game, Defensores del Ángel Gris's Alfonso Gilabert nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Justino Hustaz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Black Sails's Flavio Beremundo was substituted for Květoslav Kubalík. A collision led to Black Sails getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Flavio Beremundo hit a great ball. The supporters of Defensores del Ángel Gris booed when Black Sails was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Federigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Justino Hustaz came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Defensores del Ángel Gris's Bernard Ochabski. But to his dismay, Bernard Ochabski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Defensores del Ángel Gris made a substitution. Rene Gerber replaced Serafim Catranides. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Camillo Sciarretta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Black Sails's supporters rose to their feet, but Camillo Sciarretta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Uriel Chorche breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Black Sails's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
